This was what we woke up to in Carmel the morning of our departure....
Ice and white-out conditions. Everyone creeping along at about 30mph. Decided to just sit back and know that it was going to be a slow trip east, but would definitely get better as we headed east into Ohio.
Ohio/West Virginia border...still snow and ice as we climb up into the mountains...continued slow going, but time passed quickly as we sang "West Virginia" by John Denver :)
Heading down the mountains into North Carolina...still snow and ice.
WOOT WOOT!! No snow or ice!! There are actually leaves and flowers blooming :) Got into NC right at rush hour traffic. Enjoying the beautiful daffodils, azaleas, and redbuds blooming. Also saw jasmine and wisteria growing wild all along the highway...so pretty.
