Day 2: more bailing

Water is on, but why is nothing coming out? Pump is running, but it sounds like it can't get primed. Time to go below to see what we're working with.

Handy dandy roll tool cases coming in handy!
All tools were used. It was a tool success.

The water level indicator says half full, but after a couple of pots of water, it's empty. The mystery deepens...
(and I'm getting a headache upside down for hours on end.)

Aha! Calcium stones everywhere and in everything! Time to take everything apart and clear the system. This 15 minute project just turned into 4 hours.
(This is our drinking water??)

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is polishing chrome fixtures, scrubbing surfaces, rinsing the boat, and  keeping pace with the mess being made in the galley.
(Just another pretty face.)

Installing the chart rack in the nav station. Looks level-ish. Hard to tell with the boat rocking...
(One more glass of wine and who cares?)

More water?? This time in the head bilge. And the shower sump doesn't seem to be working. Looks suspiciously like it maybe hadn't been cleaned out in a few years. All cleaned out but still not working :(
Everything tightened up, but we'll leave that problem for tomorrow. Enough hanging upside down into hatches today.

After all our hard work, we were rewarded with this beautiful sunset at our berth.

Still too chilly to shed the coat and fleece. Maybe tomorrow will be warmer?
