Day 3: Yotta know your boat bits...

Well, today is forecast to be the coldest and cloudiest of out trip. The day dawned cold, damp and dreary.

I guess today isn't the day for outside work.

"Look! It's dry!"

While we did not magically end up in Seattle, the head bilge DID magically fix itself! It's pumping the sink and shower water beautifully (and no water leaks to boot!). After a good spray of WD40 yesterday, the head also seals without air leaks. The tug elves must have been busy last night!

Both fore and aft bilges are dry!!
(Mom's too excited for words.)

The morning and most of the afternoon were spent working in the engine room. Thru-hull strainers were cleaned and engine mildew addressed. The air conditioning and electric heaters seem to be in working order as well.

Meanwhile the rest of the crew caught up on this blog, greased drawers, cleaned air filters, tripped the breaker (and fixed it) got more groceries, and learned how to use the oven. The first batch of cookies fed the seagulls, but the second was a win!

Some of us were a little more tired than others.
Smile Wenikio!
