To Friends and Family...

To all friends and family - we've been here before. The start of a new adventure - or more appropriately - continuation of the last one. I recall starting similar journals when preparing to sail to Alaska on S/V Foggy Mountain (36' S2), cruise the Pacific on S/V Foggy Mountain II (40' Valiant), and cross the Atlantic on S/V Ariel (48' Jeanneau catamaran).

But this is a little different. As we return to our cruising origins, we do so on a different type of vessel - a coastal trawler. Our cruising grounds will not be the great oceans, but will instead be the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), inland canals, western rivers, and of course, the Great lakes.

Welcome Calico Jack and his infamous piratess companion, Anne Bonny, as the adventure begins. (It has to be pirates, you know.)
