One way flight

Short 2-hop trip from Indy  to Charlotte to Wilmington North Carolina. Four am departure - glad I'm not the pilot.

We're arriving early, so lets make a provisioning list.
Hey, is that Kleenex you're writing the grocery  list on?

Got a car from Alamo, headed to Harris-Teeter (the local Kroger equivalent), bought stuff and cookies, couldn't buy rum on Mother's Day (you have to go to the ABC government store to buy real alcohol), and dumped it all into the back of our really hot (85 degrees) rented car.

Pack it somewhere. Just keep the Saltines and Gatorade within easy reach. (Voice of experience sailing the Pacific.)

Mom is just too excited for words. I'm going out to do boat projects.

Oh wait... First, I'll oversee the cookie storage in the bilge (tank room).
(That green hose is the flush drain for the fresh water tank. We're pumping it overboard and filling with fresh stuff. I put these hose pictures in for Kirsten and John for their 34' tug - Phat Girl.)

This refrigerator is mighty small. Where are we going to store the cheese, hamburger, bacon, candy bars, and pop?

I'm done. Time for a break (and a glass of wine). See you momentarily in the cockpit!

End of a long day that began before sun-up in Indy. Cheese and crackers, oranges, and fine boxed wine from Trader Joes. Hoping there are many more cockpit evenings to come...

After all - it is Mother's Day.
Even on the Cape Fear River.
